francesco ventrella is an art historian and independent curator
he is teaching assistant of art history and cultural analysis at the university of leeds (uk) - where he is completing a Ph.D titled 'the body of art history: writing - embodiment - and the connoisseurial imagination'
he has written for 'neromagazine' and 'fash art' - before becoming editor of the academic journal of cultural studies and critical theory 'parallax'
in collaboration with 1:1projects (rome) he designed and curated the performance festival 'no entertainment at all' (2006-2007) and - with cecilia canziani - he directed the workshop 'independence!' (2008)
during the festival interviews will join the OLP (on-line performance) - the forum and the archive as a mean of deepening and research on performance art
the interview starts from ten questions - their goal is to develop the debate on OLP and performance categories thrown in this festival edition: random performance - theater performance - gender performance and reenactment performance
this 'solo show' will be totally independent in the choice of questions and in the methods of transmission - recorded video will become part of the performance season archive and you can watch them later

the festival promotes historical/critical/ methodological research on performance art and the exploration and development of OLP (on-line performances)
performance season will be available on-line - making it possible to participate in the performance program and all festival activities
the program includes performances and curator interviews in streaming - an on-line archive - participating artists’ presentations and discussion forums on performance art themes
